Trying to Close My Account

Hello,

I tried to close my PayPal account but it says there is a limitation. I check the limitation and it says that "Confirm a card - Submitted for review". However, this was done in October 2019. It has been almost 7 months now and it still says "Submitted for Review". I tried contacting PayPal support but I have been waiting for more than 4 hours now. The phone support directly goes to voicemail and tells me to message with a live chat agent. What should I do?

Limited accounts can't be closed unless the limitation is resolved. Right now due to the virus situation, getting a hold of PayPal CS will take longer so just keep trying to reach PayPal via live chat if you can.

Limited accounts have blocked features. It should say what those are in the Resolution Center:

  1. Go to the Resolution Center.
  2. Click Go to Account Limitations.

Or on the Summary page.

Close account checklist:

  1. Resolve any open disputes or account limitations.
  2. Zero out the balance.
  3. Cancel any active automatic payments.
  4. Remove financial info (bank accounts, cards).
  5. Go to Settings (cog icon).
  6. Click Close Account under Account Options section.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
