Problems creating an account

My husband has a account and I use it occasionally but would like my own. When I put my email in to create the new account it asks me for a password which I don’t have and then if I put my husbands password  in it rejects and won’t let me go any further it’s as though my email is already linked somehow to PayPal

Of course, you don’t have one. That’s why it’s asking you to think up a password you’re going to use to log in this account with and type it in.
