Phone number verification

I'm trying to log in but it wants to ring an old house number which no longer exists. Is there a way around this it won't give me any other verification options except to ring this number.

I also have this problem, they want a code from me from a number that is already disabled .. I transferred 106 euro and I can't use them!

Try:
1. Downloading the app to see if it will let you in to change / update it in the settings.
2. Log on via developer.paypal.com, go to paypal.com and change it in settings.
3. Use the forgotten password option several times.
4. Trying another browser that may let you in without phone verification (then change it when you have logged in).
5. Trying again another day when sometimes you can get in without doing the verification and then change the number.
6. Changing the password a few times sometimes works as it can bypass the phone verification.
7. Try clicking on P top of the forum page and see if you can log in via the forum.

If that does not work then you would need to contact customer services so that they can i.d. you another way and then add your new phone number to your account.

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...

1. Paypal phones are slowly re-opening and increasing in numbers (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.

4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

I only use the app on my phone. when I use paypal but there is not way to transfer money to paypal. When I went to my computer, I was then able to transfer money to my paypal account without a problem. You ask a good question, why not directly send money to paypal from my bank. If I wanted to just use my bank visa to pay bills or send money to  paypal or others   then I would I need paypal at allI? Except that paypal is much quicker and to send a check (not everyone is electronic) it takes several days.  When I first started with paypal years ago,  it is how I had it set up paypal  to pay for  items from EBAY which is how ebay preferred to by paid.  But actually it is easier to pay for some items using paypal rather than my visa which is hooked to my bank and maybe paypal is safer that way.  Some items I buy are for my use only and I don't particularly want them posted on my bank account which is shared with my husband if you understand what I am saying. I keep some autonomy that way. It is not that he would care what I spend money on; he of course see when I transfer money to paypal; I still like to buy things and keep track of them in paypal.  For some merchants and requests for birthday charitable events, it is easier to use paypal and keep track of what I spend for these places.
