PayPal Account Closed and Funds Sent to State of Massachusetts

Hi!

My wife's PayPal account was in the name of a small business that she ran several years ago.  The business closed but she forget to withdraw the remaining funds from the PayPal account.  After the Paypal account was declared dormant, Paypal forwarded the funds to the State of Massachusetts which has sent her a form that she should fill out in order to recover the funds.

She needs proof that the PayPal account in the name of the business is in fact associated with her Social Security number in some way. Specifically, she needs something on PayPal letterhead that indicates that the account in question was opened by her and linked to her Social Security number.

This can't be the first time that someone has been in this situation.  Is there anyone out there who knows how to get help from PayPal so she can retrieve these funds?

Thanks!

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.
