Business account

Hello, I was trying to set up a big cartel account to sell stickers and prints but I can only use a business paypal account. I tried signing up for it but it asked for my legal business name. I'm just trying to sell things I made so I don't have a legal business name, I'm not looking to be that professional. Is the legal business name stuff serious/important? Otherwise I will just switch to etsy because it seems like etsy doesn't require a Paypal business account.

No, it doesn't have to be a legal name, it could be the name of your webstore so people can better identify their purchases on their bank statement/paypal account activity.

Then in your business information settings you can say your business type is "Individual", not corp, partnership, sole proprietor, etc.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
