Name Shown on Statement

I am a freelance web developer and I do small upadtes for a client of mine on her community website, and to get listed on the site, there is a small $50 payment required, since it streamlines the process, I have a personal Pay Now button on there for the people who wish to be listed on the site.

The only problem I'm running into is people being confused when they get their monthly Credit Card or Paypal statements in the mail, they see my personal name, and not the business name on their statement (ive even had one person report me!) Is there a way to have some sort of description or modifyer show up when they click and pay through that particular button? Changing my personal name on my entire paypal account is not an option.

Thanks!

Hello _mike,

Welcome to the Community Smiley Happy.

What you can do is create a PayPal Buy Now button with your business name as the Item name. This will show on the buyers "Your Order Summary" page when they check out.

Here's how to change the name of your business in your PayPal account: Log into your PayPal account, Click 'Profile' near the top of the page, Click 'My business info,' Click 'Update' next to 'Business information,' Click 'Change name' next to 'Business Contact Name,' Select 'Business Name Change (business name)' and click 'Continue,'  and Enter your new business name and click 'Continue.'

I hope this helps.
