I am selling a coat through craigslist. I found a buyer, which is great, but they had a very odd request. I believe that the buyer is not from the US, which is fine...but their request was unusual. They want to buy my coat and also send me an additional 200$ for me to purchase a gift card from Walmart and ship both the coat and the gift card to their cousin in California for their birthday. I have no problem with doing their request but I am a little suspicious...I just don’t want to end up getting **bleep** over in some kind of gift card scam. Can anyone please help me figure out if I am covered through PayPal? The buyer can’t rescind their payment after they send me the money and I ship the coat and the gift card I am purchasing for them? Thank you in advance. I am new to PayPal and selling on the internet in general, I can use all the help I can get. 🙂

It's some kind of scam. The purchase should only be for the coat and nothing else. It's a red flag when buyers tell you to do this and that and add on extra things not advertised in your ad.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
