Delivery of Own goods

Hi Everyone, 1st post, pay even be last one! It has been brought to my attention that: if my Company deliverers own manufactured goods via our own transport (As we do), then we are working outside PayPal's terms and Conditions, we have our own employed transport Delivery network so we (Deliver in Person by Our Company team) for the whole of UK. so this it what worries me:

Quote:

"Please note: items delivered in person or to a different address are not covered by Seller Protection"

Can anyone shine a light on this, as PayPal approached us in a move for all our Web/Card/Phone Transactions to go through their network

Although we may be a special case delivering large Building goods. how can they change terms for one and not the other!

Secondly our Customers will open the (ship to a new delivery addresses tab) which is standard on most Sites now, our items are large, high volume and price, 9 times out of 10 are going to their luxury 2nd Property or they are having a new built or a refurbished property.

Thank you in advance

There is a way to use the shipping address entered into your checkout system when you integrate PayPal checkout into your web store. Have your webmaster figure it out.  https://developer.paypal.com

You just need a way to prove delivery to the paypal/customer. Document really well something is delivered. Get printed name and signature of the person of the PayPal account on a delivery bill. Then you can scan it, pdf it and upload to the case. However, if you have great customer service in terms of response and working with your customers when something goes wrong, you may not have to worry about it so much. Most of the time people file disputes is when the merchant blows em off. Sometimes you have to take a loss, that is the risk of doing business in general but you try to minimize risk as much as possible, is all you can do.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
