Why am I being asked to verify a security code & do additional checks every time I log into PayPal?

I have a business account that is about a month old now, & I've noticed that every time I log in I’m required to verify a security code & complete another security check (like receiving a text, confirming my card, or getting an email). It’s becoming quite frustrating!
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a new security measure, or is there something specific to my account that’s triggering it? I’d appreciate any insights or tips on how to manage this better. Thanks!

I started having this problem now- 100% of my logins are now required to get a texted security code and enter it(no, I don't have 2FA turned on). I can understand it happening once, but once I get a code and enter it, shouldn't that browser be a trusted browser from then on? It's ridiculous. I called PayPal and got a bunch of generic "We take your account security seriously" stuff. They could not address that specific question. I don't want forced 2FA from them. Why the sudden pain?
