I had to verify my account on my MacBook this morning. The email sent to me afterwards said that a new device had tried to log in to my account (even though I've had my Mac since 2017 and have logged in from it 3 or 4 times a week since then) the location given was 50 miles away from where I am. Do I need to worry? TIA

No because you have detailed location turned off for many apps, so it’s using it’s best guess, based on your current internet connection path or IP address. These are generally not very accurate. I'm in Cornwall but they tell me I am in London 🤷
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
