I have two phone numbers on my PayPal profile - a Primary Mobile and a Primary Home. I no longer have the landline (Home) since I stopped using the service in April tgis year. My wife and I now only have the mobile, number as contact. This is obviously going to become more common in the UK. I would like to remove the Primary(Home) number, as only one number for contact is now available.When I try to remove the landline I have to add another number before I can do that. But I don't have any other number ( other than my wife’s mobile number) that I can add. How do I remove the old landline Home number so that it does not mislead people.

I have three numbers - all listed as Primary.
Documented processes don't work, and the chtbot just sends a FAQ and then offers to pass to a person.
The person just repeatedly gives the FAQ and says I need to add a new number, ignoring the point about all numbers being primary and theat I now only have one number.
The invalid phone number is in use by somebody else, so this is a security risk.
I have had enough of this.
After 21 years, it may be time to delete my PayPal account.
I will see if any new suggestion come out in the next couple of days, and if not, PayPal is gone for me.

After being brushed off by the agents using the messaging system, I was not very much inclined to give PayPal the benefit of the doubt.
However, I did just call them, and after refusing to be transferred to the messaging system was put through to a very helpful agent named Neera (spelling?).
She removed the two incorrect numbers and asked me to log out and in again to verify while we were on the call. All is well now for me.

I have two mobile numbers on my account (one primary) and one very outdated home number (also primary). I cannot delete the home number. I phoned CS but couldn't circumvent automated routing after putting in the 6-digit code PP supplied. How do I get to a human as recommended?

You can reach out to the Support Team during business hours by clicking the contact us option at the bottom of PayPal page. Thank you for your help. It was still a challenge to connect to a human. However, I eventually did so and she deleted the outdated number. She advised that the original settings were configured so that I could not accomplish this seemingly simple task myself.
