How can I delete the CVV number from my paypal data so that I have to enter it for each transaction. I am concerned that Paypal may experience a data breach.
I spent over 25 years in the credit card processing field, including managing PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance for card data storage and payment gateways used for online purchases. The CVV is only used to verify the card but the CVV is not allowed to be stored per industry regulations and compliance. The card number and expiration are stored but are required to be encrypted.
