Hi, To answer your question, I'm not expecting to get hacked; it is the handful of times that different sites and companies have withdrawn funds from my account that I did not authorize and, in many cases, was not even aware of until I reviewed my expenditures. Most of the time I am deceived by shady practices. They may be considered legal practices but should not be considered legal. For example, one time a few years back, I was working on a tractor and needed a service manual to help with working on the tractor and ordering parts if necessary. The next day or so, I had a $20-$40 transaction and purchased a magazine subscription. I discovered while searching for manuals that one site I was visiting stated something like" by clicking to access your manual you are signing up for subscription " or something close to that. And other times, there àlso shady practices that bank on the fact you won't even notice the charges. This last one has me ready to quit PayPal. I think it's been three months, maybe more. I have been trying to get an unauthorized payment reimbursed. And it is or has to be that PayPal thinks I'm lying, and that is going over too well. They denied, settled, and said they would reopen, and still nothing happened. Records show you received your product, so I am sorry you denied it. I sent documents four times and spent hours and hours trying to do my own investigation. The AI assistant is like a block to prevent you from speaking to a real person. This specific deduction I noticed twelve hours after it took place. It still said pending. Earlier, when I had another case, the human representative for PayPal said, "If you get us called or informed while still pending, we can take care of it real easy." Well, guess what? This was a Sunday, and the next day, something was Memorial Day. I spent hours trying to get an agent important notice to PayPal to prevent the payment, especially since it was still pending. When I got a hold of the representative, they said they would take care of it within ten days. The site that took my money was completely unknown. I didn't even know why they took the money, which was $45.80. I typed in the name in my payment activities and the sc4een came up and stated " are you here because uou have a deduction on you credit card that you dont know why" or close to that. After much searching, it turns out I purchased a Trac phone that I had no idea about. I saw one email thanking you for purchasing your Trac phone. I sent that, too, besides the screenshots that said this site does exist several times. I told them I didn't order any TracFone, and didn't need a phone. I have no idea what, if anything, PayPal is doing. And I have worked harder than $50 worth several times over just on this deal. I am just about to just close my account. I just saw another unauthorized transaction that is going to take monthly and has made it very difficult to stop. But I haven't the faith anymore in PayPal and feel like they are going to just deny me. That's a bad place to be with a company that once stood by me. The locking of the card is what many people do but that is a hassle. I'm sixty-three and tired of trying to fight for my money. The case, I am still wondering if PayPal is going to do anything. I would almost donate the money to charity if I got reimbursed just because what that place did was stolen from me. And I'm the liar.
