Using US account in Japan?

Hello -

I have a US account, but moved to Japan. Do I need to setup another account for Japan? It seems that for some Japanese sites/companies, i cannot use my US PayPal account.

I tried to use the PayPal help system, but there was not helpful at all.

Hi all..

I was finally able to get some help from PayPal support.  They told me that I need to create a new/separate account for use in Japan.

Once you set up your PayPal account in Japan, can you pay out or receive money in US dollars? It seems the only currency is YEN. I wonder what the payee in America sees when they pay you? Maybe they see only dollars but you pay a fee for the conversion to Yen? On the other side, you want to pay someone in the US $25.00....do you estimate the conversion in Yen and hope for the best?
