Questions about changing my e-mail

I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question but I need to know.

I've been using Paypal for many years, and it has served me well.  However my e-mail address is so obsolete that my new computer won't even support it.  I have another e-mail address, but my paypal transactions still use the old one.

I've just added my newer e-mail and confirmed it.

Questions:  can customers use my new e-mail address as well as the old one, or is only the "primary" usable?  The reason, I need to check with several suppliers and software accounts to make sure they work before removing my old address.  If either can be used, I can make all these transitions, make sure they all work, and then remove the old one.

Do you have other recommendations for this transition?

You can have up to 8 email addresses on the x1 Paypal account.

You can use any of them to receive funds, doesn't need to be your primary one, as long as they are all confirmed.
