Old username for new PayPal account?

Can I use the username of my old PayPal account, which I just closed, for my new PayPal account?

I do not mean the email address to login. I mean the alias that is used to receive payments via link

Not possible. It’ll no longer be available and will be forever associated with that closed account and inactive. Use a different variation of the username, an entirely different one or use one of the system-generated suggestions.
