Messenger Notifications Attachment Unavailable

I’ve recently had 3 notifications from PayPal via Messenger but I can’t open them and the just say “attachment unavailable: this attachment may have been removed or the person who shared it may not have permission to share it.” Any ideas how to fix this issue because everything I’ve read suggests this is a PayPal issue, not something to do with my settings. I’ve previously had Messenger notifications just fine. Thank you 😊

Hi, the problem seems to be between PayPal and messenger on my iPhone. I also have a Nokia 5.4 and can see the PayPal replies ok on messenger in android. Possibly an iOS and messenger compatibility issue.

this has been happening to me since summer, neither paypal or facebook take ownership and I cannot see a way to separate them. 

I have 3 paypal accounts all linked to my messenger account and its happening on all 3

Welcome to the PayPal community and thank you for your post.

In this situation, the best thing to do would be to contact our Customer Care department. You can do this by going to the ‘Contact Us’ link at the bottom of every PayPal page. You will then see what contact options are available to you.

I contacted PayPal customer care last year and was told they were aware of the issue and were  ‘working on it’. No time frame for resolving the issue as they did not know how long it would take to fix. 

FYI. whenever I use PayPal I can see the notifications in messenger ok on my android phone but not on my iPhone. I told PayPal this but no response.
