How do I reach a live agent via phone? The number listed is fully automated.

The customer service phone number is now fully automated and no longer connects you with a live agent. Does anyone have another number or a work-around? Thanks!

If its automated, when they ask something just say 'agent' and you should get through.
Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.
1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

Thanks! Unfortunately, saying agent will not put you through to a person. It pops you back to the automated system no matter how you phrase it or which option you choose. Live chat is not actually live - it's also automated, so if your question varies from the selections offered, you aren't able to get an answer.
I will try sending a message from Facebook. I was just hoping to actually speak to a person.

I had this same problem. I needed to discuss an issue and tried the number twice, but the automated system couldn't help and they wouldn't send me to a representative.
