How do I make sure that PayPal knows not to register same-mailbox variations on my email address as new accounts?

Thank you for your post. 

I do understand your concern. You can only create one PayPal account per email address. If you have already opened an account with your email address, no one else will be able to use that email address on PayPal.

If someone misspelled their own email address, and ended up creating an account using a different email address belonging to you by mistake, we have a process to resolve this. All you would need to do is contact our customer support. This can be done by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page.
