Closing my account and don't recieve SMS messages

I am trying to close my account but I don't get the  SMS's for 2FA. Can they send an email?

if you get to close it let us know how. they won't delete mine. they are asking me to send my id. Doesn't make sense that I have to send ID to DELETE information.
