Bank account not verified

Hi, I tried to connect my paypal account to a website but I got this report: "PayPal reports this account as Not Verified. Please link your bank account or credit card to your PayPal account and try again. Please note that 'Email confirmed' is different from 'Verified' (PayPal Help)." The thing that I don't understand is already have a bank account in my paypal. Is the status under the bank account that says "checking" is the problem? Appreciate you help, thank you.
