This email is to notify you that your bank account, ending in xxxx has been unconfirmed

Ok been with paypal years and years and just got this email....

 

Anyone any ideas why I might have got it?

 

And what can i do?  It says this account can no longer be used to fund payments!

 

I quote  "Unfortunately, once an account has been unconfirmed, it cannot be reconfirmed."

 

Not a good message to get!

Hi there paulandlisae, 

 

This sounds like an unusual email. Can you see any issues with your PayPal account when you log in? 

 

I would advise forwarding this email to spoof@paypal.com and we can review further.

it does indeed say this account is unconfirmed.

I received the same email:

 

 

This email is to notify you that your bank account, ending in 0261 has been unconfirmed. This means that you will no longer be able to make PayPal payments funded with this bank account.


Unfortunately, once an account has been unconfirmed, it cannot be reconfirmed.

I've had this account loaded into my PP profile almost since time began. The bank account details havent changed, I havent changed any of my own details, and I did nothing to trigger this unconfirmation. I havent used it to make any payments, and I have withdrawn money into it recently. its been bugging me all over Christmas because I see no reason for it at all. I'll be calling PP as soon as they open this morning.

sorry to hear that- I will be interested in their reply.

 

I emailed them about it and was fobbed off with an automatic reply which was totally useless.

 

I have been using paypal an awful lot - whenever I could due to it's convenience when online.But this experience has meant I will only use it now when I have no other option

Well I called PP and the guy said as far as he knows, there's a 'technical issue'. Apparently it isnt a big problem but he's going to have my account looked at and as long as there isnt a reason for the unconfirmation, they'll reconfirm it (even though the email says it cant be reconfirmed).

 

Its a bit of a pain in the rear for me, I'm a power seller and a top rated seller so I have money flying around all over the place, and I only accept PayPal (no cheques etc) so this makes things inconvenient to say the least.

 

Fingers crossed they solve the problem quite quickly
