Closing overseas limited account

Hi,

I would like to access a US bank account via UK paypal and transfer some funds to a UK bank.

Seemed pretty straightforward but I couldn't add the US bank account as it is linked to an old US paypal account I never use.

Couldn't delete bank details from US paypal as that account is limited.

Can't remove the limitation as it asks for my visa card as confirmation (fine) but requires a US address.

Can't delete the account either.

This is so frustrating. I really don't understand why paypal won't let one remove ones financial information from a potentially compromised account- surely that would reduce the risk of fraud rather than otherwise?

And secondly Visa is international - why can't they confirm my card to my current address?

Anyone can help me with a solution? Currently thinking I'll have to find a non-paypal solution for accessing the funds....

Hey that sounds really frustrating. I would advise contacting Customer Service directly at 08707 307 191 or going through the “Contact Us” section in your PayPal account.
