Suggest contacting your local CFE (Centres de Formalités Entreprises: Business Registration Desks) as you will need to register your business. It is not the CFE’s mission to give you business guidance and support so it is strongly recommended that you should do all your “homework” prior to the registration process, which includes doing research on your target market, potential competitors, drawing up a business plan including a financial plan and business forecasts, etc.
You can also contact the Agence pour la Création d’Entreprises (APCE) which is the national business start-up agency. There you can find out more about VATs and what you need to do.
