echeck cancel

i cancelled an echeck the same day i sent it to an unverified account no more than two mins. will it still take money out of my account

This happened to me today. I had an echeck for $200. Contacted the seller and asked if I could just use my credit card so they could get their money and I could get the item faster. Seller cancelled the echeck on 4/30 and I paid the $200 with my card. This morning, my package arrived... and the $200 from the eCheck was withdrawn from my account! I don't know if I ever will see that money again. I am hoping that it will bounce back into my account tomorrow after the bank does its overnight reconciliation. I don't get paid again until 5/15 & was counting on that money for gas & pocket money.

I did file an unauthorized transaction claim with Paypal. It was closed immediately and the response I got was "This case is closed. The payment was never accepted by the seller. PayPal cancelled the payment and returned the funds to your account." I don't believe this and am praying I see that money tomorrow.

I reported it to my bank but won't get my money back for 10 days It's obvious that I already paid for this!!

Followup: The funds from the cancelled echeck were finally returned to my account on May 10, about 3 business days.
