I had a problem with a merchant and they want to return my money. They asked for my pay-pal ID. I would think they had it already cause they got my money. But if not and they are on the up and up, do I give them my 'secure merchant ID'? I couldn't find anything in the help section about the 'secure merchant ID' is it something i keep secure or is it for my security? - new to the game.
If the vendor click the "Refund" link in the transaction details, the funds will be returned to you. If the vendor wants to send a payment instead, he or she can send payment to the registered confirmed email address on your PayPal account.
