I received a risk alert flag on an order that was just processed. The customer left no phone number, but the financial transaction seems to be successful. Does anyone know a suggested protocol to follow? i would hate to ship the product to have the transaction reversed? Any ideas? Thanks!

I recieved the same risk alert icon (red flag) on a new order yesterday 12/3. The senders email is invalid, yet the funds appear to be in my account correctly. Maybe the red flag is due to the invalid email address? I can't find any info on this on help

NEED HELP ALSO!! Why wouldn't Paypal have any information on what a risk alert is, but be putting these scary red flags next to new sales? My customers information doesn't match up, he put his work email and phone, but his home address and won't supply me with a home phone for the shipping company. With the flag and all these problems, I am about ready to refund him and be done with it. Does anyone have any information as to what the alert means???? Please help...

I agree! It is ridiculous that paypal has such a thing, but then will give us NO information on what it actually means. I have gotten these RISK ALERTS on several orders - only lately. Each of them is with customers that have mailing addresses in Russia. Suspicious, but what protection do I have?

I just purchased something from my own online store via credit card and received a Red Flag (Risk Alert - with no furthor information) for my own purchase.
I would like to know also what this means. All my information seems correct e.g. email address, street address etc.
This is confising and this thread is the only information I can find on it.

READ Danger warning, dummy letters. A whole new set of scam artists are sending out paypal letters, They threatened me with membership suspension unless I shipped to a non member with payment pending, the next day in an attempt at English they were oh so sorry for the error, Just verify with real people when in doubt. And help us all by sending bogus contact to service@paypal or the spam contact. We need to hit these roached hard.

Subject:
XXX has just sent you $50.00 USD with PayPal Note:
XXX move
Risk Filters Triggered:
Maximum Transaction Amount (Flag)
Edit your Fraud Management Filters. Payment Type:
Instant
All maximumy transaction amounts default to $1.00 - so any payment over $1.00 was flagged
I just couldn't stop until I found out the reason for that red flag I had.
Also when you get the email that the person has sent you money the risk filter triggered definition for the particular risk that caused it is in the email
The risk filter is managed in the fraud management filters -
Hope this helps everyone
