I received a letter from PP that said my account was limited because they determined that I am linked to another user that violated their policy. I think it might have been my son who has my first and last name. I wrote two letters to Risk Management at paypal.com asking for more information. I am not my son and can't be held accountable for anything he might have done but they won't even respond. I talked to a supervisor who basically said I have no recourse and will not give me any information even about my account. She would not give me any way to contact "Brand Risk Management" other than the e-Mails I already sent and which they ignored. She finally gave me the address to their legal dept and said I could subpoena them for information about why my account was limited.
I AM SO FRUSTRATED!! How can PayPal can run a business this way? I understand their need to be careful and avoid dishonest people but completely stonewalling a legitimate customer is very unethical and bad business practice. I asked who was the regulatory agency that regulated their financial business and she said she didn't know!
Does anyone know a way to get their attention? I should just walk away and write them off as a very customer unfriendly business but I want to order RC hobby equipment and some of the suppliers only take PayPal.
I guess I will just have to find out how to subpoena their legal dept and bad mouth them with everyone I meet but that won't really help me now and won't help restore my account.
