Why can't I post a message on the old  Paypal development community??

The new messgae icon is greyed out and I can't post a new message..

I hope they did not discontinue that forum,

that was a place you could ask a question or search an existing problem.

Can someone tell me why I can't post  a message in the Paypal development community any longer..

Thanks

This is my first time using the Community Forum.

I'd like to know how to contact the system developers to communicate to them my issue...

Every time I make a change in the tracking info, for a customer order, I get a system Error.

I tried "contact us", but that was no help, I got Sarah the automated assistant.  Help....

I also have an issue for which I'd like an answer. I am also a new member.

Have you seen the posts of all the members with the same issue?  This really stinks! You would expect Paypal to have better customer service.....

The Developer Forum was replaced by the PayPal X Developer Network or X.com.

Same as the Online Merchant Network was replaced by the PayPal Community.   Another mistake as the Online Merchant Network was not broken.

As for fixing top posted issues.  Simply posting, reposting and posting the same thoughts, gripes, suggestions and what ever in the forum just wastes everyone's time.

What folks really need to do is Open Support Tickets.  For example, the issue concerning USPS Flat Rate Boxes.  First, new folks that come to forum don't seem to be aware that the forum has a Seach feature.  They just start a new thread on the same subject and off we go in a circle again.    If folks open Support Tickets and use the Feature Request option, suddenly the corporate system starts to get some serious activity.    This escalates the issue and documents the problem and actually ends up on someones desk.

Here's what folks don't know.   The behind the scenes logic at PayPal for fixing issues is that the top reported issue and/or issues get priority.  Therefore, the more folks who open a Support Ticket, the higher up the fix-it list it gets.  To get the Support Ticket in the Feature Request queue, go here.  Under the Severity Dropdown selection, click on Feature Request, complete the form and submit.

Folks need to flood the corporate system, not the forum, else you're just typing for nothing.
