Payment issue

I'm new to this e-bay/PayPal.  I purchased a item on e-bay and used paypal to buy it. I've recieved a notice from E-bay that there was a complaint of none payment  made against me.  I check my bank records and the payment was transfers from my account to paypal. I also have a e-bay reciet (e-mail) stating payment was made.

I've made several attempts to contact the seller, but get no reply back... E-bay states they will not persue this complaint and assist me.

Any help out there???

First, go to your Paypal account, sign in and view the main "Account Overview" page.

See if you can find the line where you made payment.

Check to see if the "Status" says "Unclaimed".  If so, there will be a button next to it that says "Cancel".  Press that button and the payment will be refunded to you.

I think what may have happened is that the seller put the wrong Paypal address in their listing (because of a spelling mistake or such) and doesn't realize that nobody can pay him.

So let's make sure that your money is safe first, and then proceed from there.
