PayPal emailed me that $150 was charged on my account for 5m chiips to Zynga Game Network.  I don't know who this is or what 5m ships is and would like to dispute it, but can't find a place on PayPal help website to dispute a charge I didn't make only to dispute a ebay charge that I made that didn't turn out right.  Where do I go and what do I do about it.

Login to your PayPal account and click on the "Resolution Center" tab... there you should find a link for reporting an unauthorized payment.

File unauth claim and change all your passwords/security questions.

I think it takes x amount of days as indicated on the unauth status to resolve

I received an email yesterday (Dec. 23rd, 2009) stating that a payment of $150.00 was made to 'Zynga Gaming Network'. This payment was made completely without my knowledge or authorization. I called Paypal and related my story. A Paypal representative told me that I had to first contact Zynga to request a refund. I attempted to do so by phone and email, but never spoke to anyone at Zygna and received only an email from the Zynga billing department (whom I contacted) requesting that I provide additional information, such as a bill stub (which of course I do not have) and/or that I needed to create a user account etc. in order to contact them again via customer support . After finding this forum as well as copious amounts of additional information online discussing Zygna and fraudulence and theft - why on Earth would one expect to get cooperation or clear assistance from the company most likely stealing from you? Obviously (based on the number of posts and views on the Paypal Forum alone, not to mention other online sources) this situation with Zynga Gaming Network Paypal users is well known. Paypal should immediately remove Zygna's Paypal account from activity based on the egregious history of the company and its actions. It is an absolute outrage that Paypal allows this company to continue to steal from people who expect Paypal's protection, not such base exploitation -the site and service that professes security and protection should live up to its claims! I have filed a dispute with Paypal for the $150.00 and now wait for them to do the right thing. To those who have the same story let us work to keep the pressure on for correction and resolve, so that this activity is both stopped, prevented, and lawfully punished.

I posted earlier about unauthorized charges done by Zynga Gaming Network to my paypal account.

I want others to know what to do if this happens to you.

1 - log into Paypal and CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD.

2 - go to your account page and press dispute transaction - scroll to bottom of page and press the contact paypal - then press the call paypal by phone - you will get an access number - write it down - then call paypal using your phone - press any option untill you get a live person ( pressing 0 over and over can work). When you get a live person - and you will - tell them exactly what happened - that person should transfere you to a specialist - and you will get all the info you need to get your money  back. Please take note - it will take about 5 business days to see it.

About  Zynga Gaming Network  - I actually called them through another number - not the same number listed in the transaction with paypal - google Zynga Gaming Network and you will find their correct number on their website. When you call them, and you should,-  file a report with them that an unauthorized transaction was made.

Zynga Gaming Network is not the ones who are scamming people - it is a hack using Zynga Gaming Network as their front to charge through paypal.

I got my money back after 5 business days.

It is important to CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD in your paypal account. This is something you should do every six months.

Exactly the same thing has happened to me this morning for $150. I disputed it straight away through paypal so I'm hoping with all of these other complaints it gets refunded. I also contacted my credit card company but they can't do anything until the payment clears onto their system.

I'm very careful online so have no idea how this can happen. I don't use facebook games and even if I did my facebook and paypal passwords are diferent.

I'm scanning my computer now to double check it for problems.

I like others trusted paypal and cannot understand how they can allow this to continue!

I also got charged $150 by Zynga gaming network and I am furious!!!  This is quite the little scam somebody has going at $150 a pop.   MIne came through as a debit card signature purchase so I immediately called Zynga while the charge was still pending to let them know I had not authorized it and did not make it.   They suspiciously took my information and told me that it would have to be escalated higher and I would hear from someone.... which I have not.     I canceled my debit card since I am guessing the information was compromised somehow since like the other poster I am very careful with my card and have only used it for a couple of purchases for my business.    I do not play games on facebook.    The charge remained pending for several days so I had hope that someone was holding it up either paypal or Zynga, both of whom I contacted, but I arrive home today to find that it did go through.   Now the charge says the merchant is ZYNGA *TEXASHOLDEM FB WWW.ZYNGA.COM CA        I am so mad about this.    I am on a mission to find out how my information was compromised!     I am also planning to file a complaint with our state's attorney general since they love to take on things like this and it does not seem to be an isolated problem.    Also seriously, how antiquated is it that I have to fax or mail in my dispute for unauthorized charges on my debit card ???
