Is there a compatability proble with PayPal browser plug-in and FireFox 3.6.

The PayPal plugin is not compatible with Firefox 3.6.

More importantly, I'd like to know how to generate a secure credit card number within the PayPal site. How do you do this?

I've tried searching the site for using the  security key, with no luck.

You can generate a new card at same place where you can look at your History. I had to use it yesterday.

Thanks for your reply to my post.  I downgraded my XP PC to 3.5 to make purchases.  It's a shame the feature is no longer supported.  I agree with others that say it was one of the best features of PayPal.

IE8 lets the plugin begin the signing in process, but then it gives the error message: "Your current security settings don't allow this file to be downloaded." There must be some way to change the settings to allow this to work.

Druco,

I had the secure card plug in for so long and really miss it. I had Visa debit card fraud twice and using the secure card made me feel so safe. I looked on my paypal history page and do not see where to generate a secure card. Can you help me find it?

Thanks,

Terri

Logon to your account and on the right side is a box that is labeled "My account Tools", select "Pay Pal Plug in".  Once you are in the "Pay Pal Plug in" section, look at the box with your history of secure cards in it, at the top of it are some choices, one of them is "Generate a new card". Smiley Very Happy
