PAYPAL DOES NOT HONOR PROMOTIONS!

So far, I have participated in (2) Paypal promotions and have not gotten rewarded for either. The first one was back in November 2009. I added an account for my daughter and was suppose to receive a $10.00 'bonus'. Nothing arrived and Paypal customer service seems to be clueless about this promotion.
More recently, I made an online purchase and a Paypal/Bill Me Later pop-up appeared giving me the option to save $10.00 if I checked out using the 'Bill Me Later' feature. I did so, but (guess what?) no $10.00 promotional credit got applied to my account.
So, I am out $20.00 and Paypal has not met their end of the agreement as promised. Although I will keep my Paypal account, Google Checkout will not start receiving my future business.
The Leadership of Paypal really need to get their act together. It's really makes the company look bad when you promise things that you are unable to fulfill.

this is true/ i recently opened a student account and the promotion offered a 10 bonus for taking part but i still have not recieved it/ how do i deal with this

Hi All,
The $10 offer for Student account has been offered twice. If you were part of the promotion from 11/12/09 - 12/31/09 then you you should expect the credit to the student account between 1/12/10 - 1/22/10.
If you were part of the promotion from 1/18/10 - 1/25/10 you should expect the credit to the student account by 2/15/10.
The promotion is open only to members that receive a direct mail invitation from PayPal.

I received a direct email and was part of the first batch of users who were sent the email promotion. Today is 1/22/10, and as expected, nothing from Paypal. I have seen alot of other posts from users in the same boat.
There is definitely something broken on the Paypal side that someone needs to fix. Honestly, I am going to minimize my transactions on Paypal going forward because I have really lost all trust in your company. Not a reputable way to do business for sure....

Why don't you have a response to the concerns?? Two Months later and still no response!! What's Up? Stating the conditions does not cut it. The time has elapsed for the offer to be honored and still nothing and so many with the same complaint. Could it be you don't like negative remarks and hence no response? I think everyone would welcome an explanation. Please respond to Nashvilleguy and Kaciv and all others with the same problem.

It's a big sham. I don't think the Marketing folks at Paypal even communicate with the those at Paypal that would handle and process these promotions. I never did get my $10.00 credit from MONTHS ago, and I followed the guidelines to the exact letter. I saw the Administrator replied to the post, but she didn't offer to assist in any way!
It is so frustrating that no employee of that company cares enough to reach out to their paying customers to see if they have an unresolved concern that they can help with. And when you call them, they just read you the promotion guidelines, and when I tell them I met those, they say "keep waiting and it will appear". That was back in January and still nothing...
I use Google Checkout now and only use Paypal when I have no other choice. They want to lie to us and promise promotions that do not exist, they will lose alot more than $10.00 per person in lost business!
I know the Paypal folks read these forum posts. Are you not ashamed of yourself? Someone needs to have some accountability at this company!

As far as I'm concerned paypal can KMA. I stopped paying on their credit card so they can keep the $10 in lieu of $5000. Works for me 🙂

Totally agree with you. While I have never had a problem with PayPal itself, the problem seems to be with Bill Me Later.
I got an email from PayPal with an offer for Bill Me later and was considering taking up the offer. But after reading so much bad stuff about the service I guess not. I'd like them to explain all the bad reviews that their Bill me Later service has been getting. It seems to be a waste of time and costly too. Thanks
