Will my Paypal credit payment be applied to the item that doesnt have a promotion?

I paid for an item that i thought would be on a promotion with paypal credit and it turns out the item wasnt on the promotion so i decided to pay it right away so no interest was calculated. Will my payment be applied to that item?
