Will PayPal be setting up an account so that we can donate to the relief efforts in support of the Haitian Quake victims?

I took a look over at eBay.
Check out Giving Works, there is a way to donate directly to Red Cross and lots of other groups using PayPal.
There is no need to set up a listing or buy anything, you can select the group of your choice and there is a donate now feature.
Guess I should have looked there first.

Save the Children is a reputable charity that is accepting paypal... I found this information on a paypal blog site, checked it out and it's legit...
PayPal is partnering with Save the Children charity to fundraise for the Haiti disaster. Save the Children has worked in Haiti since 1985, primarily in the capital city of Port-au-Prince and the Central Plateau region, providing health, education, protection and food security programs to vulnerable children. Save the Children’s Emergency Response Advisor is currently on the ground in Haiti and more experts are being deployed to be part of this response.

I signed on to Paypal specifically to see if they had anything set up, and if not, to suggest that they add a place to donate to various organizations (Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, etc. etc.) right on their home page. I know how to donate and already have, but many do not and it would be a great way for Paypal to increase the aid sent to Haiti.

Hi All,
I am so impressed that our community wants to help others!
As mentioned PayPal is working with Save the Children but there are other ways to donate. Both eBay and PayPal are helping with relief efforts. To learn more check out these company blogs:

Hi, I was wondering the same thing and found a link through cbsnews and I researched many charities. I wanted to be sure I was donating to a reputable charity and wanted to use Paypal. I ended up donating to
They used over 98% of the contributions to directly benefit the people who need it. Their CEO makes $53,000 a year compared to:
Red Cross - 90% to program costs and $565,000 CEO salary!!
Americares - 95% to program costs and $275,000 CEO salary!!
Unicef - 90% to program costs and $361,000 CEO salary!!
Do your homework and be sure you give a reputable charity.

I am a bit concerned because when I clicked on Maureen's link www.hopeforhaiti.com it sent me to http://www.hopeforhaiti.org/
I cannot find this second one on http://www.charitynavigator.org/
This is not to state that the org. one is or is not repuatable, but there is a difference & I am unsure as to why her link sends you somewhere else.
This is the homepage for the one that is on the navigator site http://www.hopeforhaiti.com/index.php
