refunds

Hi can anyone tell me how long it takes payPal to put a refund from a seller back into my bank account? I bought an item online then found that someone had already bought this for my Mum so cancelled with seller. They refunded me straight away,the I had to reorder same item because of mix up. PayPal have taken twice from my bank and still no refund from them. This was on the 13th December.

I managed to get hold of someone in customer services who told me that it would take 7days to refund back into my bank

checked today and still no refund says on my account in PayPal that it was refunded on the 13th where is it

Does anyone know how long I should wait please

How did you fund the original payment that was refunded?

Was it a debit card or instant bank transfer??

If it was instant bank transfer then normally refunds go back to your paypal balance and not your bank account.

BUT if you have funds in that paypal balance then when you next buy something and use paypal to pay for it then they will take the payment from your paypal balance rather than your normal funding source.

To check go and click on the word details next to any transactions around that time and see if they were funded via your paypal balance ie refund.
