i have never had a problem with any of my sales i have 100% feedback , yet paypal will not let me have my money for 21 days ?am i missing the point here this is money that is ours , some of the money covers the cost for postage !!!!! yet we cant get ours but yet paypal can take there fees straight away ?sorry but if there is a hold then paypal should have to wait for there fees aswell .quite frankly i think this is stupid and wrong i normaly give people the choice for recorded delivery as to keep post costs down , its ok for buyers to rip us sellers off but when it comes to us we are just targeted maybe paypal should look at individual accounts and not just judge us cos of the small minority of scammers , they have our bank and card details , address and numbers is this not proof enough we are not going to rip people off , its very easy for a buyer to say that they have not received an item as they chose not to do recorded its there word against yours and yet they win and your out of pocket so now paypal have held our money and if the buyer wants to say something is wrong etc you are out of pocket etc im sorry to rant but i dont sell on here to rip people off i sell stuff as to good to throw away and sell on and with the money i buy from other sellers stuff that i want in return now thats all gone to corrupt and 2 sales ive just done which have been bigger than i have ever sold even though i started it at 99p has been held it feels like you are giving people credit now and let them decide after they receive goods if they want the item or not its all wrong and i may turn to selling on amazon and other sites again

I have just joined paypal so i can take card payments, after 5 days I've had enough already, waiting for money, luckily i can leave without great loss, but loss all the same, about £60... they seem to think they can rule the world like bigger banking systems, and we can do nothing about it.

I cannot believe i am being penalized for the misuse of other ebay and paypal customers. I have had my acct for YEARS and havebeen a buyer and seller. I sold electronics and expensive knitting needles back in sept and oct and had funds held. THEN I sold something today and am having funds held. Even with 100% feedback!!! After I post my item, my other one sells and I get my funds I will no longer be using either Ebay or PayPal. I am sick of eing treated like a criminal.

Let's all remember that PayPal IS NOT A BANK, yet behaves like a Bank that has gone mad. If your bank told you that they would hold your money for 21 days TO PROTECT YOU, you would laugh at them, and close your account immediately.
I have a 100% purchase record with Ebay, paid mostly by cheque, or Postal Order, but when I come to sell an item, on auctions, and get a sale for £120+, out comes the rule, "21 Days" . I told 'em to stick it, and I will sell my desirable products elsewhere.
Lets face facts - Ebay is going bust, and PayPal with it, all the public has to do is say, "no way", and walk away.
Their over zealous attitude towards honest people will be their ruination.......

Hi guys, read all the comments and i agree with all.!!
Papal says one thing then does another, they like to move the gole posts.
when speaking with paypal like i have on several occasions, they all give different reasons on why"when"and how"
Just after xmass i contacted paypal by email and explained my sittuation, i then got an email back saying that my request had been sent to the correct department where they can get the bar lifted as ive done so well in a short period of time.
Well i waited for a responce" and still waiting for a responce now. So i contacted paypal again by phone this time(expensive) option !!
they have basically said that this department does not existed and its all done by there security team and they only follow instructions and do not make any exceptions for anybody. I started selling on Ebay to make cash like you all, now starting to feel that ive made a mistake, What do you think"
opened account on 16 oct and its now 23rd jan that makes it 99 days that my account has been open and active, i have a feedback of 121 possitve-100% i have done over 180 transactions but feedback not recieved as usual, as you have to beg !! never the less i work very hard and take all the transactions very serious, so tell me why do i still have to wait 21 days for my monies.!! Beats me.

Is your 121 feedback all for selling??
Cus it has to be over 100 pos feedback for selling before the ban is lifted.
HERES SOME INFO FOR YOU:
Why your payments are held.
• You have been selling on eBay for less than 90 days
• You have an eBay feedback score fewer than 100 as a seller and have not yet established a record of good performance
• You have received fewer than 20 Detatiled Seller Ratings on eBay in the last 12 months or your eBay seller performance is below standard
• You have a high rate of customer disputes or a low eBay feedback percentage
• You have been a PayPal member for less than 6 months and have limited selling activity
• You have a sudden change in selling activities (e.g. suddenly selling expensive items, selling large numbers of items, etc.)
• You happen to be selling in a high risk category such as tickets, travel, gift vouchers, computers, electronics, mobile phones, etc.
Depending on the circumstances, paypal may set aside payments for a single transaction or for all payments to sellers who meet the criteria above.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I have provided a tracking number and the money for items sold is frozen in my account.
The number to call Paypal is premium rate and eBay cannot help.
From now on I will be adding a surcharge to Paypal transactions on eBay.

Providing a tracking number does not get the money released UNTIL it shows the items as delivered + 3 days.
If you have met that criteria then email them but you need to put on the transaction id on the email so they know what transaction applies.
If you add a surcharge to your ebay auctions your ebay and paypal account will be at risk of being banned as it is not allowed.
You will also find buyers won't pay it and leave you neg feedback.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I have now stopped selling on eBay I have been a member since 2007 have 100 percent positive feedback never one complaint had been messed about by a few idiots and had to sort things out myself . When I started selling I never had a problem then all of a sudden I got a message from Paypal Payment pending the reason eBay had not informed them I had positive feedback Paypal checked my eBay account found the positive feedback released my funds I thought great its sorted . But no sold some more stuff went to withdraw my money yes my money same again contacted Paypal yet again by phone as they do not answer my emails reason given to me I had not verified my account then after 20 minutes on the they confirmed I had and was told the money would be in my account within two hours . The next time my funds were withheld another excuse Because I was new to selling then after that it was for mine and buyer protection even though yet again I had positive feedback the buyer was happy with the Item which was proof it had arrived still would not release my money I refuse to pay to send recorded delivery as this would mean adding to the cost of PP. Most of the buying and selling on eBay is done on trust from buyer that the item has been described correctly and buy the seller that they will be paid but how can you trust a company who not only holds onto your money which they have already taken there fees out of eBay then Paypal take there fees the customer has paid for the item are happy with it and you the seller are the one left out of pocket until eBay and Paypal by the way are owned by the same shareholders decide you can have your money how many other businesses can get away with this . Very shoddy practise and dishonest to say the least disappointed does not come close to the way I feel that I have been treat by eBay and Paypal its like you have to beg for money that belongs to you by the way sent another email to Paypal stating my reasons why I will no longer be selling on eBay and they still have not replied .
