Hi

Just been hit with a chargeback by Unauthorised payment

Item was bought on 17th Feb and chargeback started on 9th May, over 2 months

How long can a chargeback be made ?

I thought after 45 days no chargeback could be made and you had 60 days to refund, so this is well after both

My account is now in the red

Thanks

A chargeback is nothing to do with paypal so the 45 days does not count.

A chargeback is done via a buyers credit card company direct and that can be up to 6 months.

I always send recorded delivery so paypal have the Royal mail tracking number and a picuture of the post office receipt

Sent to the confirm paypal address which is clear on the recipt via house number and postcode

So I guess I'm covered under seller protection, so why put my account in the red

The tracking was on the ebay item in question so why don't they check that it's the same company

If funds where in my account then they would be tied up until the they pull their finger out and sort this out

Which could take up to 75 days, really !!!

They are fast enough to take your fees off you, that doesn't take 75 seconds to do that

I've have a payment into my paypal account now

So now paypal are holding my money with regard to this unautorised payment

Still no word off them about the claim, nearly a week after they have had the information about the delivery

Now this is becoming a complete joke and a robbery

Not happy with paypal, once again sellers are losing out
