The funds that were placed on temporary hold have been reversed

a buyer opened a case and the paypal funds put on hold.

"it stated - You have sent £35.99 GBP to eBay Buyer Dispute with PayPal -£35.99"

i have recieved item back and issued a full refund and details shows -£35.99

i can also see the original payement recieved as £35.99

so im missing 35.99. as far as i could see the money was deducted from my paypal but not put back.

is there a way of checking running totals in paypal to check what happened.

it also stated "The funds that were placed on temporary hold have been reversed"

and shows -£35.99 GBP with a status "Removed".

should it not turn to a plus.

Hey there seller56,

The status of removed means that the hold that was on the payment has now been removed.

When a case closes like this the funds that PayPal put on hold at the start of the case are returned to your buyer. We wouldn't issue a double refund.

So unless you actually sent the buyer a payment and didn't use the refund link then they will only have the one amount of £35.99 and that will be the funds that you received and were placed on hold that are reversed.

I hope this helps.

thanks for reply.

my point is if its put on hold is that deducted from my total.

because it appears to be deducted as it has a minus sign.

but i have no way of checking running totals to confirm.

the funds were released a few days before i refunded

and when i refunded the case was closed.

with the amount deducted from my total.

if money held is not deducted then its not clear by saying i had payed eBay Buyer Dispute with a minus.

but i just need to know.

You can click "view all my transactions" then "all activity (with balance)" to make sure it was added back correctly.

I would think this was sorted as you are replying to a thread 3 years old.
