Pending payments ?

I don't know what's up with paypal lately but I am not liking this change. My friend has sent me money on april 15th and it's pending until april 22 even tho it clearly states that it will be released after 3-5 days !!! I mean most people use paypal for money transfers because you need money quick. Why is it being held (it's not a Ebay purchase)

On that note we were struggling for money so had to sell a few things and my boyfriend used his account to do this he is new to Ebay and therefore he received a payment from a buyer that is again pending. It was paid to him on April 5th and says it wont be released until April 26 even tho the buyer received the item and has left positive feedback. I emailed paypal and asked for this money to be released and they are telling me there isnt any money pending. But it clearly states pending £57.76. We need this money, how can we get it released !

Welcome to the Community!

It sounds to me that you are receiving an eCheck payment through your account. This would explain why you are receiving a payment and it is pending until the 22nd of April.

When an eCheck payment has been sent to a customer through the PayPal website, we don't release the funds to the sellers account until we complete processing the payment from the buyers bank account.

I realise that this may be frustrating for you but this is the current processing procedure for eCheck payments.
