I sold a pair of shoes and the buyer had her details compromised so Ebay put her account on hold, hence i couldnt have my money for the shoes, eventually, after several mails she mailed me to say she could now pay. In the meantime, Ebay contacted me and advised me NOT to post the item out as the buyer was under investigation, even though she had finally paid and i had the e-mail to say it was in my paypal account, however, the payment was on hold, and still is. This was on 22nd June. What happens in this situation? My paypal account shows that the money went in, but that it is being held. so what do i do? Do i post the item or not, as Ebay have advised? Also, the buyers address is the same as it was when the shoes sold, but now it is a different name! It is very odd.

Hi lee18,
Has your payment been released yet. If not then I would probably suggest that you refund the payment. On PayPal, even if a payment is being held, a seller will still have the option to refund the payment. I advise this as you sound unsure of your buyer in your post and if you are unsure it is best to refund.
I hope this helps
Paula
