Payment hold- why is every transaction being placed on hold

I have been with Paypal and Ebay for over a year. Have 100+ feedback with 99% positive feedback and 25+ DSR of around 4.8 in all categories.

I'd never had any payments held until around a month ago however now every single once is put on hold. I'm getting really fed up with having to wait up to 3 weeks for payment to clear. It's causing problems with cashflow and it means that I'm selling less than I'd otherwise be able to afford. When I constantly have £100+ being held it's very frustrating.

Many of the transactions are for payments under £5 and in low risk categories yet they're still being held!

A few questions:

-How long is thing going to continue- i.e. will all future payments also be held or will it stop once I reach a certain level?

-Is there any way to stop payments being held at all?

-Are there any other electronic money transfer companies I can use as an alternative to paypal?

First of all, This is some weird issue that no one answers even if you call paypal they will have no answer to that and say its due to security reason and the transactions our system suspects go on HOLD.

Anyway do not worry as long as you have geniun buyers and you r doing everything correct, money won't go anywhere.

1: You should change your settings under your PROFILE tab and go to BUSINESS INFORMATION and you willl see.. Average transaction and monthly volume .. Play around with that and I guess that wil help. SInce your are also receiving £5 payments and if you average transaction says £20 then this is the reason.

2: Try calling paypal and see what a funny excuse they give you or they may solve your problem for real.

3: There is an alternative to paypal which is Alert Pay its a canadian based company and I am myself in process of signing up with them since I am also having problems that My buyers' credit card and debit cards are being rejected ofr no reason when they try to pay and paypal has no answer to that.

Thank you for your advice. I'm going to check out my settings and have a look at Alert Pay which sounds good.

I hate having to call Paypal but I think I'm going to have to if this keeps happening. I'll let you know what happens.

I have a similar problem with paypal. I have had some buyers. Basicaly paypal they have really messed up the cash flow for me I am actually now considering closing both ebay and paypal accounts, and gong over to ebid.co.uk  and find another option instead of pay pal.  They cant even answer an email asking for answers so you aint going to get an answer from them on a phone.
