I HAVE 3 PAYMENTS IN WHICH I AM WAITING FOR RELEASE OF FUND. 21 DAYS IS RIDICULOUS AND WE NEED MORE SUPPORT IN THIS FIELD. I'M A SINGLE MUM WHO'S USING EBAY TO SAVE FOR A HOLIDAY FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN FIND THIS LENGTH OF TIME TO BE VERY INCONVENIENT AND INAPPROPRIATE. THE ITEMS I AM AWAITING RELEASE ON WHERE POSTED AND SHOULD WELL OF BEEN RECIEVED. PAL NEED TO GIVE MORE SUPPORT WITH THEIR SELLERS AS THIS IS DISTRESSING!!!! POOR ....

I am absolutely furious about PAYPAL holding my money for 3 weeks. If you read their conditions then about everyone who deals through them is being held to ransom. I've nothing in the bank and now can't pay my rent, or eat, because of their BIG BROTHER tactics.
My track record on EBAY is without blemish and yet they still caught me in their trap. How can I do business if I can't even find the cash to post items I've sold.
This is blatant unfriendly money grabbing tactics. Try to lodge an official complaint everyone involved in this SCAM - which is what it really is!

Without ebay/paypal it is doubtful many of us would be able to sell items anyway let alone get the customer base that ebay supplies.
So i would rather wait 3 weeks for payment just till i had a good selling record than not sell my item and get no money at all.
And when do you have to wait 3 weeks? I rarely did as most of my monies was released when the buyers left feedback.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

MANY of us have had to wait 3 weeks or more, even with positive feedback received or tracking proving the items have been delivered. I don't know how you can defend them.

But in case you are having problems i will put it in pretty big letters for you.
FEEDBACK NO LONGER COUNTS FOR PAYMENT RELEASE.

the holding of money by paypal is unfair and illegal but they will continue untill stopped which me thinks will be sooner than later as for the only reason we sell is because of ebay that is a two way thing people stop selling ebay stops trading as seen in other countries when competitors have stepped in ebay customers have left in droves so when a certain chineese competitor starts its european site that is reportedly going to be comission free except for a small listing charge i think ebay will be hit hard the company in question has already taken 60% of ebays customers throughout the world by relying mainly on advertising revenue and by realising it is the customers that make these sites not the other way round i would also like to say that i have sold more items through local facebook site than ebay and often have realised a better price and cash on collection if you have something to sell that is desirable you will sell it simple fact

Totally agree with you all. This is outrageous. I am a single parent, went self-employed and part of my market is selling on EBAY. I have 100% feedback, great customers, I always sort any problems out, even unfairly to myself in order to keep good customer service. **bleep** it what they did!! Holding my funds for 21 days PROB ILLEGALLY!!! Now I can't afford to buy new stock!!! What the **bleep**??? Imagine a bank doing that?????? I have now run all my listings down on ebay till paypal stop this nonsense and I'm going to find alternative places - mind you paypal will still do the same probably... very very very annoyed. Fascist big brotherish.

I two have had a 21 day hold on my account, I know that I had one dispute in the past but that shouldn't be enough to ridicule me as I have a feedback score of over 95%, plus I have recently been made redundant so I need the extra cash to one post the items that I have sold as I have no income plus I need the money to help me with living costs, I will get JSA but It won't be for another couple of weeks, if anyone can help let me know please, that includes paypal officials too thank you.
