Unauthorised account activity claim

I sold an item on eBay. The buyer paid and the money arrived at my Paypal account. Then the buyer file an unauthorised account activity claim. As far as I am aware I am not at fault. I have packed the item and have printed off the UPS delivery label through eBay Shutl. Can I insist on proceeding with the transaction? How?

An unauthorised dispute means that an account holders paypal account has been hacked and used without their consent by ? your buyer.

If that has happened then you would be covered by paypal seller protection if you met ''all'' of that criteria.

But none of that is needed if you have not sent the item yet. Why on earth would you continue with a transaction with not only a dispute logged but an unauthorised dispute logged???

What if the account wasn’t hacked and it was the buyer regretting making the purchase? I have waited for a long time to sell the item and I don’t think it’s fair.

Well i have given you the info that i have, if you want to send it and then possibly lose item and money then that is your choice.

If the buyers account was not hacked they can still do an 'item received but not as described dispute' OR a chargeback.

Do you really want all that hassle with a transaction?
