Unable to log into business account, due to a change of phone number

Hi Everyone, 

 

I work on behalf of a small charitable organisation, which I was asked to set up a Paypal account for them. Unfortunately, I have since forgotten the password. When I attempt to reset the password, it then asks for a second verification of calling a phone number, which no longer belongs to the organisation. 

 

Is there any way to overcome this? I would be able to answer any security questions that are required, but it does not give me that option.

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

 

All you would need to do in this case is give us a call. On the phone we can manually confirm security information with you to get around this additional check. Once you are in you can then update the account information so it doesn't happen again. You will find our toll free number by clicking 'Help & Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page. Choose to contact us by phone and then continue as a guest.
