No matter what I do, it says "Try Again."   What is the solution here. Trying again is clearly not it.

Go and click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > click on the + and ''add'' another/new email address > verify it > go back and click on ''update'' and tick the box underneath that says ''make primary'' > then you should get the remove option by the old now longer primary email. You can remove that one or leave it on as you can have up to 8 email addresses on the one paypal account.

I appreciate the attempt to assist. However, the issue is not with setting a new primary email address.  The issue, as stated in the title, is setting a new primary address. As in street address.

I can add endless new addresses. Can't change my primary no matter what I do.

Hi there 1337bigmac,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community!

I am sorry to hear that you are facing issues in setting your address as primary. In general, if the system is preventing you from completing this procedure, there you may be facing a technical issue. If this is the case, my suggestion would be to clear your cache and cookies and to delete your browser history. You could also try with another device as this may solve your issue. This is the procedure to update your address.

If the problem persists, your best option would be to contact our Customer Service and ask the team to set your address as primary on your behalf. If you would like to call in, you can find the correct phone number for your country by clicking 'Help & Contact' at the bottom of the PayPal homepage and then clicking 'Call customer support'. You can also contact us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/PayPalUK) or on Twitter (@AskPayPal).

I hope this helps!

Martina
