Paypal took a sum of my money

Hello, 

Back in April I transferred some funds from my paypal to my bank account, it was a large amount, however, when it cleared paypal had taken some of the money, I researched this prior to moving the money as I didn't want to be charged for moving X amount. 

Is there anyway I can get this back or ask the question with paypal?

Did you buy anything just before you withdrew the funds? If so it would have taken it from those funds in your balance as that would become the default funding source.

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top. Log in and get the code.

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent.

In the UK its free from any landline phone.
