I just asked someone to pay me £1800 but they payment came through as £1732 ... does Paypal charge fees to the person who receives the money ? Or is this a currency conversion mistake ?

Yes you will be charged a fee for receiving funds into your PayPal Account. The standard rate is 3.4% + 20p. For more details on our fee structure please go to the PayPal website and click on Fees at the bottom of the page.
