Payment authorised but no confirmation from merchant

hi - i recently completed a transaction on river island via paypal and then recieved an email from paypal to say that i had authorised a payment but i did not get an email from river island with my order confirmation, nor has my shopping arrived. the email from pay pal says "the seller hasn't provided any dispatch details yet" and there is no record of it from what i can see when i log in to my pay pal account... can anyone help? is this suspicious activity?

It could be the case where the Merchant has not processed the order yet. This usually happens with larger Merchants, we will take the authorization for the amount owed for the order. The Merchant will then capture the full amount, sometime partial amount , once the order is ready for delivery. I would suggest that you contact the Seller directly for an update on the order. You should see a record of the activity on your account, unless you made a guest payment by entering your cards details at the checkout.
