Completed payment still hasn’t left my account

I paid an invoice in US dollars for an upcoming holiday through PayPal on Nov 15th. 

It showed as completed on the same day, I have a verified account linked to my bank but nothing has left my account as yet.

 

Does the payment take longer because it’s a different currency? Does it take longer because it was they're waiting for the bank to authorise it ?

When you pay a seller it is never instant > paypal credit the seller for you and then start the process of uploading your funds to paypal from your funding source. This is done so you get your item more quickly.

 

Funds can leave your bank account from a few hours up to a few days later.
